About the book
What is the book about?
Bluminatti is a rags to riches story about a man from Florida who starts his own chapter of the notorious Crips organization. After becoming Bluminated in California, he returns to Florida with a west coast plug. War is waged in the streets over drug money. Kidd can have any woman he wants, but things becomes complicated when his eyes become set on the woman who belongs to the very man he is at war with.
When did you start writing the book?
I started writing this book after multiple fans of my work asked me to create a urban book series.
How long did it take you to write it?
I wrote this book in 3 months.
Where did you get the idea from?
I combined the words Blue and Illuminati. The blue was to represent the Crips organization while the Illuminati part would hint towards something more powerful and mysterious. I drew upon the two organizations to make the urban tale something different.
Were there any parts of the book where you struggled?
I struggled with the ending for a while. I think the ending is a special surprise for the readers. Book #2 is definitely in the works by the way.
What came easily?
The storyline itself actually came naturally. I kept it realistic.
Are your characters entirely fictitious or have you borrowed from real world people you know?
I drew upon the characteristics of people in the real world that I know so that they feel real. I also used names of people I know.
We all know how important it is for writers to read. Are there any particular authors that have influenced how you write and, if so, how have they influenced you?
Tao Wong has a great LITRPG series that has influenced me to step into the genre. Stephen King influenced me to write different genres and James Patterson is the reason I write short catchy chapters that keep you wanting to read just one more page.
Do you have a target reader?
I believe lovers of urban fiction, romance and even science fiction will enjoy this series.

Do you have a writing process? If so can you please describe it?
I write down every idea I get through out the day.
Do you outline? If so, do you do so extensively or just chapter headings and a couple of sentences?

Do you edit as you go or wait until you’ve finished?
I edit as I go. I don’t believe in forcing the process. I rather work on multiple projects and just let the stories flow.
Do you listen to music while you write? If yes, what gets the fingers tapping?
I listen to reggae music when I face writing blocks. It helps me through them but I normally turn the music back down during the actual writing.
About Publishing
Did you submit your work to Agents?
Not yet. Focusing more on the craft right now.
What made you decide to go Indie, whether self-publishing or with an indie publisher? Was it a particular event or a gradual process?
I didn’t want to wait for a publishing company to say they believe in my vision. I’ve heard about the struggles big authors went through so I decided to self publish. I just didn’t want to hold back good stories from the public.
Did you get your book cover professionally done or did you do it yourself?
My book cover was created by Gary Allen(@lemini4k on Instagram). He’s made designs for me for about ten years now. He’s been in the industry for even longer, working with artists like E40 and Lazie Bone from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Do you have a marketing plan for the book or are you just winging it?

Any advice that you would like to give to other newbies considering becoming Indie authors?
Just do it.

I was born in Boston,MA. I moved to St Petersburg,FL where I was raised from the age seven.

I love writing. It’s my passion. I’ll be delivering great stories until my last breath.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently working on a LITRPG fantasy novel titled Alkebulan. It will be the beginning of the OPERATION REHABILITATION series.
