It is all about my life experiences, and I share my vulnerability and realness in every book I have ever written because I want to make an impact, and I feel like this is the best way to do it.

The Back Flap
In Relentless Reinvention: From Breaking Point to Breakthrough, storyteller and human experience guide Dhylles Victoria shares the thirteen defining reinventions that transformed her life — from childhood wounds and teenage rage to spiritual awakenings, identity breakthroughs, and the long journey back to self‑acceptance.
About the book
What is the book about?
My book Relentless Reinvention: From Breaking Point To Breakthrough is about 13 stories of my lived experiences and how I was able to relentlessly reinvent myself over and over again from all forms of trauma and adversity. I use these specific 13 stories as a way to show my readers how I didn’t allow any of these challenges to define me, and how I was relentless in making sure that I stood in my power to experience freedom and peace despite all that I have endured.
When did you start writing the book?
I started writing back this past Feb. 2026 when I came back from a psychic reading event, and my grandmother, who passed in 2018, came up in my reading. She asked when I was going to write my next book and when I was going to stop holding myself back from speaking on stage because I am doing a disservice to people who need to hear my story.
How long did it take you to write it?
It took me about two and a half months to write this book because I was relentless and intentional about the stories I wanted to share in the book, and made sure that I was committed to the writing process every single day until my book was finished.
Where did you get the idea from?
I went onto ChatGPT and asked it to help me describe myself in one or two words with everything I have been through in my life, and the fact that I keep getting up after being knocked down time and time again, and that I never allowed failure to be an option, and that I am always in a state of transformation and elevating who I am. ChatGPT came up with Relentless Reinvention, and my heart dropped, and I felt the two words in my spirit.
Were there any parts of the book where you struggled?
The part of the book I struggled with the most was editing and formatting my book. This is not my strongest suit when writing and publishing my books. I have tried so many times and end up having to hire an editor who proofreads and formats books. At times, you have to work smarter and not harder.
What came easily?
The creating and writing part of the book definitely came the easiest for me because I am always in creative mode.
Are your characters entirely fictitious or have you borrowed from real world people you know?
Neither. It is all about my life experiences, and I share my vulnerability and realness in every book I have ever written because I want to make an impact, and I feel like this is the best way to do it.
We all know how important it is for writers to read. Are there any particular authors that have influenced how you write and, if so, how have they influenced you?
Yes, I love love love Louise Haye. She is by far my favorite author and has saved my life in my late 20’s when I started my healing journey. I also love to go back and read my own books I have written over the years because it helps me to realize how much I have grown.
Do you have a target reader?
Yes, I do. My target readers are women who feel stuck in life due to trauma and challenges that took place, and are ready to reinvent themselves because they are at their breaking point and need a breakthrough, but are allowing fear to stop them from who they can become on the other side of fear, which is freedom.
About Writing
Do you have a writing process? If so can you please describe it?
Yes, I do have a writing process. I sit with myself and reflect on what I want to write and how I want to feel when I am writing it because I want to be able to evoke emotions and pierce through the heart spaces of my readers. I like to write with intention, so I play music that puts me in a peaceful and joyful mood while writing. I also ask myself what message I want my words to convey to my readers, and what lessons I want them to take away from my writing and my books.
Do you outline? If so, do you do so extensively or just chapter headings and a couple of sentences?
I never really outline until after I finish writing a chapter, and then I allow my intuition to guide me to create the chapters of my books.
Do you edit as you go or wait until you’ve finished?
I wait until I have finished to intentionally and intuitively review what I wrote, and then give myself an opportunity to feel it, and if it moves me, then I work on editing. Once the entire manuscript is done, then I hire someone to edit, proofread, and format on my behalf.
Did you hire a professional editor?
Yes, I did hire an editor to edit, proofread, and format my books, and then I do the self-publishing myself.
Do you listen to music while you write?
Yes, I definitely listen to music while I am writing. It is soothing to my soul. It brings me peace and allows my creativity to flow.
About Publishing
Did you submit your work to Agents?
No, I much prefer to self-publish myself. It’s something about that process that lets me feel powerful and brilliant in doing this by myself. I also feel that if I want to make any changes to my book, I am able to do so freely without an agent.
What made you decide to go Indie, whether self-publishing or with an indie publisher? Was it a particular event or a gradual process?
I feel like I always want to be in charge of my work, and I am an Aquarius, and I don’t like being told what to do. It is in my rebel spirit, so being a self-published author works so much better and easier for me because if I choose to make any changes, I don’t have to rely on someone else to go and make them for me.
Did you get your book cover professionally done or did you do it yourself?
I created my book cover myself. Again, it’s something about having that creative power if there is a time that I want to enhance the design of my book cover or change it altogether.
Do you have a marketing plan for the book or are you just winging it?
Yes, I do have a marketing plan. I am connecting with various podcasts to be featured. I am hosting book signings and workshops about my book. I also have my own podcast, which is titled Relentless Reinvention Experience Podcast. I also created a private Facebook group called The Author Monetization Hub, where I created free and paid resources for fellow authors to gain access to resources to develop streams of income beyond book sales.
Any advice that you would like to give to other newbies considering becoming Indie authors?
Don’t stop and keep going, especially when book sales are low, and find other ways to monetize using your book, and never stop writing.
