The Back Flap
Who was the woman who predicted the future, read minds, and stunned scientists—yet remained unknown to the world?
Slava Sevryukova was called “the quiet prophet” in Bulgaria. Her astonishing psychic gifts—telepathy, remote viewing, healing abilities, and prophetic visions—were so precise that even scientists could not explain them.
This book is the first international biography of Sevryukova, bringing her story to a global audience.
About the book
What is the book about?
It’s both a biography and a study of Slava Sevryukova—a Bulgarian clairvoyant and thinker who built an extraordinary bridge between the supernatural and science through the field of psychotronics. She was able to describe not only people’s lives but also events from the distant past and even visions of humanity’s future. My book explores her life, her unique abilities, and her scientific approach to phenomena that are usually considered mystical.
When did you start writing the book?
I began working on it seriously about two years ago, after years of collecting material and reading about Sevryukova.
How long did it take you to write it?
The writing itself took about a year, but the research was ongoing for a much longer time.
Where did you get the idea from?
I was fascinated by Sevryukova’s story. She wasn’t only a clairvoyant; she also wanted to understand her gift scientifically. Her name is little known outside Bulgaria, and I felt her story deserved to be shared with an international audience.
Were there any parts of the book where you struggled?
Yes, the hardest part was to strike a balance. Sevryukova spoke about complex and often controversial topics like time travel, visions of Jesus Christ, Adam and Eve, the Flood, and the future of humanity. My challenge was to present these stories in a way that is both accessible and respectful, without oversimplifying or sensationalizing them.
What came easily?
Her passion and authenticity made the writing flow. The more I read about her, the more I felt her voice guiding me.
Are your characters entirely fictitious or have you borrowed from real world people you know?
The book is not fiction—Sevryukova was a real person. Everything is based on her life, her visions, and the testimonies of people who worked with her.
We all know how important it is for writers to read. Are there any particular authors that have influenced how you write and, if so, how have they influenced you?
I’ve been inspired by writers who manage to bring science and spirituality together in thoughtful ways – authors like Carl Jung, Ervin Laszlo, and even Carl Sagan. They’ve taught me that it’s possible to explore mystery with both an open mind and a critical eye.
Do you have a target reader?
Yes—anyone curious about the boundaries of knowledge. The book is written for skeptics, spiritual seekers, and all readers who are open to big questions about science, consciousness, and the mysteries of existence.
About Writing
Do you have a writing process? If so can you please describe it?
I usually start with research—reading, taking notes, and outlining key ideas. Then I write in focused sessions, often early in the morning when my mind is clear.
Do you outline? If so, do you do so extensively or just chapter headings and a couple of sentences?
I use a flexible outline with chapter headings and key points. It keeps me on track, but I also allow myself to follow inspiration when it comes.
Do you edit as you go or wait until you’ve finished?
I do a little editing as I go, but the big revisions come after I’ve completed a draft. That’s when I shape the text into something smoother and more coherent.
Did you hire a professional editor
Yes, I believe a professional editor is essential for polishing the work and making it ready for readers.
Do you listen to music while you write? If yes, what gets the fingers tapping?
Sometimes. I prefer instrumental or ambient music—it helps me focus without distracting me with lyrics.
About Publishing
Did you submit your work to Agents?
No, I decided to go directly into indie publishing.
What made you decide to go Indie, whether self-publishing or with an indie publisher? Was it a particular event or a gradual process?
It was a gradual realization. I wanted creative control and the freedom to publish the book in the way I felt it deserved, without waiting years for traditional approval.
Did you get your book cover professionally done or did you do it yourself?
I worked with a professional designer. For a book like this, the cover is very important—it has to capture both the mystery and the scientific aspect.
Do you have a marketing plan for the book or are you just winging it?
I have a plan, but I also stay flexible. My main goal is to reach readers who are genuinely interested in this type of subject. I’m combining social media, interviews like this one, and connections with communities that focus on science, spirituality, and consciousness studies.
Any advice that you would like to give to other newbies considering becoming Indie authors?
I have a plan, but I also stay flexible. My main goal is to reach readers who are genuinely interested in this type of subject. I’m combining social media, interviews like this one, and connections with communities that focus on science, spirituality, and consciousness studies.
About You
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Bulgaria.
Where do you live now?
I still live here—it keeps me close to the roots of Sevryukova’s story.
What would you like readers to know about you?
That I am passionate about exploring the meeting point between science and spirituality and about bringing hidden or forgotten stories to light.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on a new book that explores different ways to unlock the potential of the subconscious mind. Our brain has incredible, still undiscovered abilities—something Sevryukova herself hinted at through her extraordinary visions.
