Love, lust, seduction, suicide, and personal life experience all rolled into one beautiful intellectual intercourse that will make you cry, or even think about life itself. This is a short book of some of my favorite poems I have written at a very young age.
About the book
What is the book about?
Love Lust and The Hand of Suicide is a poetry book that I had written and published.
When did you start writing the book?
I had been writing poetry over the years. I would write in a hardback journal my grandma used to buy for me. I only published a select few of them for my first published book.
How long did it take you to write it?
It took me only a few weeks to type up the book to publish myself. I had already had the poems written down in an old journal of mine.
Where did you get the idea from?
I had become inspired to write poetry after reading my Emily Dickinson poetry books my grandma had bought for me when I was younger.
What came easily?
The process of typing up my book (chuckles)
Are your characters entirely fictitious or have you borrowed from real world people you know?
My poems are not about anything or anyone in particular I guess you could say….
We all know how important it is to writers to read. Are there any particular authors that have influenced how you write and, if so, how have they influenced you?
Emily Dickinson , her poetry had inspired me to begin writing my own. Her words and thoughts that just flowed out onto paper, it was amazing, beautiful! Do you have a target reader?
No, I don’t have any target reader……. But I’m sure if I did, it would be for those of the age of 13 and older due to the language……
About Writing
Do you have a writing process? If so can you please describe it?
My writing process is to write in my hardback journal first then to type it up on my laptop for proofreading, editing and publishing.
Do you edit as you go or wait until you’ve finished?
I usually edit as I go…. Otherwise I fail to go back and reread and proofread my work (chuckles)
Did you hire a professional editor?
No, I don’t hire anyone to do anything. It’s all just me doing all the work….
Do you listen to music while you write? (If Yes, what gets your fingers tapping?)
Yes, sometimes I listen to music while I write. When I do listen to music when writing, it’s usually a mixture of different bands. I like rock and metal music. So Seether, Type-O-Negative, Alice in Chains and others is what I’m jamming out to while writing and typing up my book….
About Publishing
Did you submit your work to agents?
No I didn’t submit my work to any kind of agents.
What made you decide to go indie, whether self-publishing or with an indie publisher?
I self published my book myself with Amazon , a self publishing platform where I was able to do everything myself.
Did you get your book cover professionally done or did you do it yourself?
I had got my book cover from a website for those needing or wanting a book cover design for free. I believe it was a stock photo. But I know if I publish another book ,the cover will be from me myself , something I had taken a photo of and edited or at least someone I know that will take a photo for me for my book cover design.
Do you have a marketing plan for the book or are you just winging it?
I’m just winging it as for marketing technique.
Any advice that you would like to give to other newbies considering becoming indie authors?
Yes. Read, proofread, edit and repeat! Always check your work and make sure that you are satisfied with your cover design , interior design and work etc before you submit your work for the finalization steps and process before publishing!!

Akron, Ohio.
Where do you live now?
I moved back to my hometown; in Akron, Ohio.
What would you like readers to know about you?
I’m single and have never been married. I have no children, but would have liked some. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and cannot have any children of my own unfortunately. Poetry was my escape and my outlet. I suffer from manic depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently still working on my second poetry book. This time it will be every single poem that I had ever written. From the poems already published to the poems not yet ever been seen.
